RENAZA X BIXEPS
Providing longevity benefits with BIXEPS and Medical Nutrition Therapy, without physical strain.
Cell Regeneration
Cell regeneration is a complex process, influenced by both internal and external factors, including:
- Age: As we age, there is an accumulation of damage to cellular components, such as DNA, proteins and mitochondria; which impairs our cells’ ability to regenerate effectively.
- Nutrition: Proper nutrition is essential for supporting cell regeneration, and nutrient deficiencies impairs this regeneration process.
- Lifestyle factors: Exercise, stress and sleep can also affect cell regeneration to a certain extent. Adequate exercise has been shown to stimulate stem cell activity and improve cell regeneration, but chronic stress impairs cell regeneration.
- Genetics: Certain genetic mutations can affect stem cell function and the ability of cells to regenerate.
Understanding more about these factors can help identify ways to implement strategies in your life to support and enhance cell regeneration for improved health and wellness.
What are mitochondria?
Mitochondria are membrane-bound organelles found in every cell of the human body. It generates 95% of a cell’s energy (ATP) to fuel the cell’s activity. Mitochondria are highly dynamic, they constantly remodel and turn over; their turnover activity and/or amount of mitochondria changes in response to exercise, diet, or ageing.
Different organs have different amounts of mitochondria as they need more energy. Muscle, liver, kidney and brain cells have a lot of mitochondria inside, as they function from the energy that mitochondria produces.
What role does mitochondria play in cell regeneration?
Mitochondria has an essential role in cell regeneration by providing energy, regulating metabolism, and contributing to various signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and differentiation.
Researchers have found that our mitochondria gradually deteriorate as we grow older. Reduced muscle mitochondrial function could contribute to age-related muscle dysfunction. With age-related muscle wasting, muscle weakness, and reduced aerobic capacity, this could result in many metabolic disorders and diminished physical performance in humans.
Mitochondrial dysfunction can contribute to decreased energy expenditure, impaired glucose metabolism, increased production of free radicals; which may result in insulin resistance and increased fat storage.
Symptoms of mitochondrial dysfunction can include muscle weakness, fatigue, difficulty swallowing, vision and hearing problems, seizures, developmental delays, and organ dysfunction.
Maintaining healthy mitochondria is crucial for proper cell regeneration and overall health.
Importance of nutrition for healthy ageing
Mitochondria requires a constant supply of nutrients to produce ATP efficiently. Both macronutrients and micronutrients have different roles in mitochondrial function, and when the body is deprived of essential nutrients for prolonged periods, the mitochondria may become damaged and dysfunctional.
The quality of diet is very important too; a diet high in processed foods (saturated fats, refined carbohydrates and sugars) has been shown to impair mitochondrial function and lead to the production of free radicals, which can further damage the mitochondria and impair their ability to produce ATP.
A balanced and nutrient-dense diet is essential for maintaining healthy mitochondrial function (helps to maximize ATP production up to 95%), and overall cellular health.
How does BIXEPS work?
As our muscle mitochondria’s health goes, so does our overall health, functional capacity, resilience, and longevity.
BIXEPS targets the muscles, and uses therapeutic, low-energy magnetic fields to promote mitochondrial ATP activation, without mechanical stress or physical strain to the muscles. This is an important distinction, as mechanical stress contracts muscles, and excessive stress may lead to musculoskeletal injuries.
The magnetism used in BIXEPS naturally modulates muscle development, and is delivered without the use of contact electrodes, pads, probes or penetrating pins. This Magnetic Mitohormesis Therapy is non-invasive and painless, but allows our muscles to recapitulate the metabolic and regenerative effects that are normally associated with physical exercise.
Our muscle’s mitochondria adapts to this therapy by increasing the amount of mitochondria, its energy production and efficiency. Following physical activity where the newly-created energy is being used, the energy usage stimulates the muscle to produce and release metabolic/regenerative factors known as myokines. These myokines are then secreted from the muscle to the general circulatory system, where it displays system-wide effects that includes promoting blood circulation, fat-burning, bone growth, improved metabolism and cell regeneration, and decreases damaging inflammation.
